This Refund / Cancellation Policy explains how subscription cancellations and refund requests are handled for HWANGJA paid plans.
1. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription through the billing portal when available.
When you cancel a subscription, your paid plan generally remains active until the end of the current paid billing period. After the billing period ends, your account may be moved to the Free plan or another available plan.
Cancellation stops future renewal charges. It does not automatically refund previous payments.
2. Refund Requests
Refunds are reviewed manually.
To request a refund, please contact us through the Contact page and include the email address associated with your HWANGJA account, the billing date, the plan purchased, and a brief explanation of the refund request.
Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval.
3. Refund Review
We may consider refunds in situations such as accidental duplicate payment, technical issues that prevented access to paid features, billing error, recent renewal where the service was not used after renewal, or other reasonable cases reviewed at our discretion.
We may deny refund requests in situations such as heavy usage of the paid service during the billing period, violation of our Terms of Service, abuse of refund requests, requests made long after the billing date, or failure to cancel before renewal when the service remained available.
4. Approved Refunds
If a refund is approved, the refund will usually be processed through Stripe to the original payment method.
Processing time may depend on Stripe, your card issuer, bank, or payment provider.
When a refund is approved, we may cancel the related subscription, downgrade the account to the Free plan, or remove paid plan access.
5. Cancellation Without Refund
If you cancel but do not request or receive a refund, your paid access may remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Cancel only = paid access remains until the end of the current paid period.
Refund approved = paid access may end immediately or be downgraded to the Free plan.
6. Partial Refunds
In some cases, we may offer a partial refund instead of a full refund. Partial refunds are reviewed case by case.
7. Plan Downgrades
If your account is downgraded from a paid plan to the Free plan, some paid features may become unavailable. This may include higher storage limits, company workspace features, sharing features, or other paid plan benefits.
You are responsible for downloading or managing important files and workspace content before downgrading if needed.

We may need to verify account ownership before making billing changes.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund / Cancellation Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
